30 OCTOBER 2019, KUZEY EGE HIGHWAY AND BURUNCUK TUNNEL ARE OPENED

The 91 km section of the North Aegean Motorway, which is under construction in Izmir, including the Buruncuk Tunnel, was opened to traffic on October 30, 2019.

The tunnel is 946 meters long on the road, and Ortana provides Variable Message and Traffic Signs, Steel Constructions, Meteorology and Vehicle Counting Sensors along the line.

When the project is fully completed, the distance from Izmir Highway Ege University junction to Çandarlı region can be crossed in approximately 40 minutes. The route between Koyundere junction and Çandarlı region will take 25 minutes.
